The program is designed to provide Theodore Roosevelt High School students, grades 9-12, with over 250 hours of out of school time academic support and enrichment services through the school year, and 6-weeks during the summer cycle for rising 9th through 11th grade students. The program was created in response to the overwhelming need for services in the community as determined by data from the state performance assessments, DCPS school report card, community, family, and schools need assessment, and anecdotal information from partnering schools.  The planned approach not only addresses the needs of the students but also attempts to address the health, social and economic needs of the families in the community.
